Best Way to Transfer Files Between Devices

Right now, I'm recording this phone call. It's completely free. There are no time limits,  and I can use this on both incoming, and also   outgoing calls. The only catch is you need a phone  number that's in the United States or Canada. At the end, I'll show you a work around  that lets you do this from anywhere. Let's check out how to record phone calls on  an iPhone. To record your calls, head to the   following website. You can click on the card up  above or the link down below in the description. Once you land on this website, click on this  button to get the app through the App Store.   Unfortunately, there is not currently an app  available for Android, but hopefully coming soon. This app is made by a company called Rev  and you might have heard of them before.

They're one of the leading  providers of transcription services. I personally use them on my YouTube  videos. That's how I get those captions   associated with my videos. They created this app with the hope that  you'll record a call and then you'll want   to transcribe the call and they'll charge  you for a transcript. So basically, the   transcription service subsidizes the free call  recorder, but if you don't need a transcript,   you can use this app completely for free. Once you finish installing Rev,  let's click on the app to launch it. Here you'll have to type in  your phone number to verify it.

Here you'll see that you need a country code of  1. This works for the US and Canada. Once again,   at the end of this video, I'll show you a  work around so you can use this from anywhere. Type in your phone number and then click on next. On the next screen, enter in the  code and then click on continue.   Here it'll ask you if you want updates. I'll click on allow. This way  you'll get a notification anytime   your recordings are done. Here I'll select allow. Now that we have the app installed and verified,  let's make an outgoing call and record it.   To make an outgoing call, let's click  on this green call icon down below.   Here we could enter in a phone number, or you  could select one of your existing contacts. I'll type in a phone number. Once you enter in your phone number, click  on start call. Next, it asks us to call   Rev’s Recorder. It'll set-up  a conference call with both   Rev and your contact and the Rev  phone number will record the call.

Down below, let's call this number. This call is being recorded. Now it's always a good practice  to tell the other person who   you're talking to that you are recording the call. In fact, some areas mandate it, so if you're  planning on not telling the other person,   you'll have to check what the laws are in  your local area. And right now. this call   is being recorded. So while it's recording,  I might as well say something interesting.   Make sure to order cookies at the Kevin Cookie  Company .com today. Once you're all done with   your call and the recording, simply hang  up your call by clicking on this red icon.   This now drops us back in the main screen  and right here I can see my recording.   When I click on this, here I could  play it back, so let's click on play. And right now, this call is being recorded. Right over here I could also jump back. I could jump forward.

Here I  could adjust the playback speed. You have the option to share an MP3 file. You can e-mail it. You could text it to someone.  You have all the typical shared controls. If you want a really easy way to get all of  your recordings from your phone onto your PC,   check out the video right up above. It has a really clever way of pulling that off. Over here in the bottom right-hand corner,   I can click on the ellipsis and  here I could rename the file. I could also trim out the beginning or the end. Maybe it took a while before we actually  got to the meat of the recording,   and right here I could also delete the recording.  And right here, this is how Rev makes their money. They have the option to order a transcript,   and when I click on that you can see what the  current rates are for a transcript.

Now remember,   if you don't need a transcript, well, you  could use this app completely for free. If you have trouble making calls  directly through the Rev app,   you can also use the Rev phone  number outside of the app. Let's check out how. Instead of going through the app, you can  also just directly call Rev’s phone number. Here I'll type it in, and you can even add this  as a contact so it's easy to call in the future. Here I'll type it in and  then I'll kick off the call. This has now kicked off a recording  and in the bottom left-hand corner,   I can now add additional people to this call. Once I type in another phone number,  I'll click on the call button down below. This has now set-up a conference call. Now that  I have both numbers on, here I'll click on merge   calls. This has now successfully merged both of  the calls, and this call is now being recorded. If I click on the i in the top right-hand corner,   here I could end the call with Rev  if I want to stop the recording. Once I'm all done with my call,  I'll click on the red hang up icon. Back within the Rev app, here I can  see there's now another recording,   so you don't necessarily have to  initiate the call through the Rev app.

All you have to do is call the Rev phone  number and that will start the recording. Now that we know how to make phone  calls, what if you get an incoming call? How do you record that? When you receive a  call, you can also record it. Down below,   simply click on the accept button and  right here you can add another caller. Basically, the same thing as we did in the last  step, and you can add the Rev phone number,   or an even easier way to do that  is simply return to the Rev app. And within the Rev app, click on the call icon  down below. Here let's click on the Rev number   and right now it's adding the Rev number to this  call. Right here, let's click on merge calls and   this has now set-up a conference call with the  caller who called me as well as Rev and this is   now recording the call. Once you're all done with  your call, simply hang up.

Here now within Rev,   I can see the incoming call right up  here and I can access that recording. If you don't have a US or Canadian phone number,  but you still want to use this, there is a way. First off, go onto your favorite search  engine and search for US SMS Verify.   This will provide you with a phone  number that you can enter into the app. It will then send the verification code to  this phone number and that'll allow you to   access the app. Next, you'll also want  to make sure that your cell phone plan   supports US calling at a reasonable rate, ideally  unlimited calling to the US. Then you could use   this app freely. All right, well, that's how  you can record your phone calls on an iPhone.   I wish it was maybe just a little bit easier.
